An atmospheric tank is a storage vessel designed to operate at any pressure between ambient pressure and .5 psi. Designs range from extremely simple, such as an open top flat bottomed storage tank,  to complex. Barring any hazardous or combustible materials, certifications are less common than other vessels. Increasing the pressure slightly, tanks are considered low pressure that operates between .5 and 14.9 psi. This, again, does not usually require certifications such as ASME due to the no or low-pressure ratings. MARKS manufactures tanks designed for atmospheric or low-pressure applications.

MARKS is skilled in fabricating ASME-certified storage and process vessels for industrial use. Our stainless steel tanks handle various pressurized liquids or gases. Not being limited to positive pressure, MARKS also manufactures vacuum tanks.

MARKS is very experienced in producing stainless steel equipment for various fermented beverage industries. Our cylindrical, conical fermentation tanks are designed to provide optimal conditions for fermentation, including temperature control and oxygenation. These tanks are widely used in industries such as beer brewing, distilling, winemaking, the production of kombucha, and, finally, cider making. Alternatively, our dish-bottomed Brite tanks are designed to clarify and carbonate fermented beverages. They are used in industries such as hard soda production, hard seltzer production, and beer brewing. MARKS lagering tanks are designed for long-term storage of fermented beverages using lagering yeasts. Outside of the beverage space, MARKS offers bioreactors, a general class of tank designed for cultivating microorganisms, such as yeast or bacteria. Bioreactors are used in industries ranging from food production to the pharmaceutical industry.

MARKS offers high-quality storage tanks for both indoor and outdoor use. MARKS’ tanks are compliant with both UL 142 and API 650 standards for the storage of flammable liquids. UL 142 specifies requirements for a steel primary, secondary, and/or diked-type atmospheric storage tank. It is specifically designed to store flammable and combustible liquids. API 650 is an alternative standard that covers the design and construction of steel, low-pressure storage tanks. These are designed for the storage of combustible liquids aat atmospheric pressure. By manufacturing to these standards, MARKS storage tanks can provide safe and reliable storage for a wide range of liquid materials, including potentially hazardous zones.

MARKS manufactures stainless steel mixing tanks for a wide variety of applications. Designed to mix various liquids, powders, or other media efficiently, mixing tanks are commonly used in industries including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, paints and laminates, and chemical processing. Specializing in stainless steel sanitary mixing tanks, MARKS uses high-grade 304 or 316ss, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance.

MARKS stainless steel filtration tanks are designed to efficiently filtrate solids, liquids, gases, and when needed, the separation of liquid from gas. MARKS specializes in high-grade stainless steel, which provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability. MARKS has the capacity to manufacture carbon filtration tanks for some application. When required, MARKS can design and manufacture tanks to ASME pressure certification. These tanks are designed to withstand the pressure and stresses of the filtration process.
